Natchitoches Louisiana Outdoor Spring Wedding

Emma and Boston’s beautiful outdoor spring wedding in Natchitoches, Louisiana was a very special day for us as wedding photographers. As destination wedding photographers we travel all over the country, but it’s always a special treat when we get to go back to our roots. Alex is from Louisiana, so having this Louisiana wedding was amazing because we were able to see family and friends as well as capture this perfect day.

Baton Rouge Latter-day Saint Temple Wedding

This was a Latter-day Saint Temple Wedding in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Temple. Emma and Boston’s entire family was visiting Baton Rouge for the event. The day started out with Emma getting her hair and make-up done by Ann Pham with Salon Chateau. After hair and make-up, we headed back to the AirBnB for Emma to change and for everyone to head over to the Baton Rouge Temple.

We could not have had a more beautiful day for this wedding. Louisiana in the spring isn’t too hot or too cold so the weather outside the temple was perfect. After the ceremony everyone celebrated and congratulated Emma & Boston as we took family portraits on the temple grounds.

Family photographs are an important part of most wedding days because for a lot of couples this is one time when everyone is together and able to take photographs as a group. With family portraits it is important that groupings and lists are done before hand so that we can make sure that everyone is in the photos and that they are able to go quickly and smoothly.

After family photographs we usually go right into wedding party portraits. Emma and Boston made this very easy because most of their wedding party was also their family. Wedding party portraits are a fun time to capture moments with your closest friends as they celebrated your biggest day. A lot of these friends may have been vital in your wedding planning so it makes these moments even sweeter.

Bride & Groom Portraits Baton Rouge Temple

One of our favorite parts of any wedding day are the bride and groom portraits. These are intimate and joyous moments that our couples get to share together and are able to have are that can fill their home for years to come. For Emma and Boston we did portraits at the Baton Rouge Temple as well as at the venue, Horseshoe Hills Ranch. We recommend taking as much time as needed to make sure your wedding day portraits are perfect!

Wedding Details Horseshoe Hills Ranch

After leaving the Baton Rouge Temple we drove to Natchitoches, Louisiana for Emma and Boston’s ring ceremony and reception. The Horseshoe Hills Ranch was a dream and the details came together perfectly. We love all the elements that they chose to make this outdoor wedding feel both intimate and elegant.

They had a beautiful ring ceremony, where family and friends who weren’t able to go to Baton Rouge were still able to celebrate the union. Their reception was right after the ring ceremony and was a large, informal gathering where everyone was able to have a joy-filled evening eating great food and congratulating Emma and Boston.

The night ended perfectly with fireworks and a sparkler send-off. We had such an amazing time at this wedding and can’t wait for our next wedding in Louisiana!

Warmly,
