The Venue & Setting at Merrimon-Wynne House

Merrimon-Wynne House, located at 500 N Blount St, blends classic architecture with Southern charm. Its grand porch, tall windows, and airy rooms create an elegant backdrop for any celebration. Outside, the manicured lawn offered a scenic spot for the ceremony. Inside, the carriage house transformed into a stylish dining and dancing area.

Timeline & Key Moments of This Merrimon-Wynne House Wedding

Festivities began with bridal preparations, where matching robes set a cozy tone. Shortly after, the groom and his party arrived to get ready. We started photography coverage focusing on both venue details and personal touches. Guests gathered inside the Carriage House for the ceremony because of the weather! It was amazingly beautiful! While the carriage house was flipped for the reception, guests went to cocktail hour in the main house. Everyone moved to the carriage house for introductions, dinner, and toasts. A lively reception carried on until the sparkler exit!

A Refined Aesthetic & Decor

Dusty rose, gold, and lush greenery framed every space with romantic flair. English Garden used soft blooms and delicate foliage to enhance the venue’s timeless features. Subtle candlelight and simple place settings complemented the historic interior. Even brief rain showers seemed to highlight the warm glow inside.

Memorable Moments

Many guests remarked on the grand porch, which provided a dry space for mingling and photos. The ceremony included heartfelt vows, while the cocktail hour showcased custom signature drinks—a blackberry vodka lemonade for her and a margarita for him. Each detail reflected the couple’s style, yet the Merrimon-Wynne House Wedding itself remained the focal point. The bride’s robe, made from her mother’s wedding dress, stood out as a sentimental highlight.

Reception & Evening Festivities

Everyone transitioned to the carriage house for a plated dinner by Rocky Top Catering. A simple cake from Publix awaited cutting, and Bunn DJ Company kept the dance floor full. Meanwhile, light rain created a cozy indoor atmosphere. To end the night, friends and family lined up outside, ensuring the newlyweds enjoyed a sparkler exit in style.
